Paul Hamilton headed down to California in his Sling 2 starting out over South Lake Tahoe airport TVL with Pyramid Peak (top center) and the California Central Valley in the distance over the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Gary, from Monterey, CA, passed his Sport Pilot Checkride March 17, 2021 at the San Jose Airport KRHV in an Evektor Sportstar.
We met halfway (by time) at Gary’s training school, Aerodynamic Aviation, Gary drove 1.5 hours from Monterey, I flew 1.5 hours from Carson City Nevada. Gary recently bought an Evektor Sportstar, but it needed some work done so we used the Aerodynamic Aviation flight school fleet aircraft to get it done.
It should be known that Gary has been flying out of Towered Class C at Monterey and Towered Class D at San Jose KRHV as a student pilot and now that endorsement is good for flying as a sport pilot at towered airports.
