Nick Wilcox (right) passes his CFI Sport WSC Trike proficiency check with Michaela Flint (left) CFI WSC Trike. Nick is an interesting story starting with a PPC sport pilot with a Commercial Balloon Certificate. With these credentials Nick was able to add a WSC trike pilot to his certificate and then WSC CFI trike.
Nick initially trained in an Evolution Trikes Revo and did his Trike Pilot Proficiency Check in the Revo. He then bought a NorthBorne trike (Northwing wing on an Airborne trike undercarriage) and trained with Michaela Flint/Paul Hamilton in his Northborne Trike for his CFI in his new/used trike at Sport Aviation Center in Carson City. He finally took his CFI Trike Proficiency Check with Michaela Flint CFI.
Nick will be operating in Southern California north of San Luis Obispo, not far from the Pacific Ocean. As I write this, he is doing an amazing flight over the Sierras from Carson City/Lake Tahoe Nevada to Southern California. WOW – Nick you are amazing. Nick will be a great asset to the Light Sport Community.
