As the sun sets on February 23, 2021, Lonnie Fosgate passes his Sport Pilot Airplane Checkride.
My first contact with Lonnie was him asking if he would fit in my airplane at 6 foot 6 inches. I answered with, “I think so but no guarantees.” So Lonnie traveled from Montana and he fit easily.
The aircraft, a Sling 2, has a foot pedal adjustment in addition to the seat having a wide range of adjustment. We did two training sessions and he left with his sport pilot certificate.
Lonnie has a 750 Zenith he can now fly at his home airport in Libby, Montana. Congratulations Lonnie – Now you “have a license to learn”, as we say…
